In this situation it's very hard for me to answer this question . The reason why is because everyone's life is different . I know that people say that if you don't want a baby you should not have sex at all . Me personally , I totally disagree with this statement because there's people over the age of 21 that just don't want kids at all . I don't think that they should not get the chance to share their self and love with another person because they don't want kids . My point is that people are going to have sex regardless , whether their under age , not married and even unprotected .
So , getting back to an abortion , I'm not saying that it's a good thing but I'm saying in certain situations it's the best way out . Also do you think that if the person pregnant is a teenage girl , should they be able to make this decision on their own without their parents permission ? Well , at this point of time teenage girls are able to get an abortion as long as they have a medicaid card or health insurance and bring someone with them that's 18 or older . Then I start to think , what if the procedure doesn't go right ? and the teenage girl dies. Now her mother is left without a child that she didn't even know was pregnant nor getting an abortion. When you think about things like this the first thought that pops up in your head is that a teen should have her parents permission .
But then what about teenage girls that are put in bad situations . What if it was a mistake and they know that their not ready to become a parent ? Also what about the young girls that have parents that physically and sexually abuse them , one that has parents that are money hungry and what to use their grandkids to build up their income, last but not least what about the young girls that have been raped and are scared to speak up with it also being a possibility that they contracted a sexually transmitted disease like AIDS . What do you do in situations like these if you can't get your parents permission?
Think about all these situations , do you think a teenage girl should be able to make the decision to have an abortion with or without parental consent ?
