The government has misled people into thinking that marijuana is some sort of gateway drug that leads to quote “ Harsher Drugs” unquote.
Exactly, what is Harsher Drugs? Could Harsher drugs be, COCAINE, HERIONE, PCP, LSD, MESS TABS, LEAK, WET, CRACK I could go on and on but, I think you get my point. If this is what they(goverment) meant by "harsher" than they are absolutely correct. Yes these drugs have a much stronger effects on your mind and body than marijuana have,but is it really proven that marijuana is a gateway drug, to all these other life altering drugs, no! It would seem to me that there is a gateway drug out there that they seem to be forgetting about, the number one most addictive, most deadliest, most notorious killer drug of them all that they have legalized and distribute to wholesalers that sell them to retailers that sell them to crooked bodega owners that sell them to our children for what they call a “fifty cents loosey." I’m talking about Tobacco! If they can legalize tobacco, why can’t they legalize marijuana?
If you think about it and it doesn’t take a genius to put this together, Big Corporations are the ones that profit off the sale of cigarettes and other tobacco products, right? The profit that is pocketed yearly is billions and billions of dollars. So, Big Corporation figures ‘why not legalize tobacco and not tell people the effects it will have on them in the long run, we’ll donate money to these government organizations to keep our rights of distribution, and we will act like we don’t know about the fatal diseases when the smokers find out the consequences to smoking a cigarette’. Those consequences are, lung cancer, emphysema, cancer of the throat, heart disease and the other diseases in which they ( government ) know about. All these diseases are deadly and this killer strikes and takes the lives of numerous suspecting and unsuspecting people every single day.
The reason why I say suspecting and unsuspecting is because people know exactly what smoking tobacco do to you. I’m sure they have heard and seen numerous story of tobacco tearing families to pieces, but they continue to smoke cigarettes. Than you have woman who are pregnant and smoking cigarettes who understand clearly what smoking cigarettes do to their unborn child. Then you have people that died earlier in life before we (public) knew what caused their cancer or what ever illness plague their bodies due to cigarettes.
Of course I could go on talking about the negative affects that smoking tobacco can and do have on people, but who wants to, not me. I’d rather talk about the good marijuana do for you body, mind, and spirit.
Marijuana, what can I say to you to convince you that this bud is actually a healing herb that has been used to cure people of their illness back in the ancient Indian Tribes when these states that make up America was called something else by the first settlers.
Marijuana helps to take the pain of cancer patients away, it assist in dulling the pain of arthritis patients by calming the nerves and easing the muscle into a relaxed state to were there’s a feel of calm and serenity. That’s one way to describe the healing affect it has on the body, even if it don’t take the pain away for good it does act as a temporary solution to their pain instead of being the cause of the pain (i e. tobacco). Another thing it does is it heals the mind. And it also does wonders for regular everyday headaches.When smoking marijuana it puts your mind in a state of relaxation by easing all the stress and tension out of your mind by clearing a path to meditation that takes you to new heights when in a state of complete relaxation. We all know meditation is a very healthy way to stay fit physically, mentally and emotionally. Yoga instructors use meditation as a major part of their exercise, as do Pilates instructors, Karate instructors and numerous others. That’s one way to describe the effects it has on your mind, it helps take away the everyday stressor and make life a little easier for the person smoking it. I said spiritually also but I guess you would have to already be spiritually inclined to understand exactly what I’m talking about.
The debate over whether or not to legalize marijuana is actually not so clear to me. I mean here you have a herb that actually contributes to the healing of the body, but, the government actually veto this issue every time it is brought in to discussion but is hell bent on keeping a deadly toxin in stores for everyone over the age of twenty-one to buy. So you mean to tell me that they (government) think just because we (public) become of age and we (public) think that we’re (public) ready to smoke cigarettes its o.k. to sell it to us because we’re of age? Knowing the damage it does to your body, still makes it o k . If we were to hold a poll and ask adults between the ages of 21 and 35 which do they prefer to smoke marijuana or cigarettes? I’m willing to bet that the majority would vote marijuana over cigarettes three out to five. If I had to spear head the campaign to legalize marijuana, I would. I see so much good it would do for people that have a need for it and for people that don’t have an ailment to treat. I’d do it even though I stopped smoking marijuana. I know that when I did smoke marijuana it always elevated my mental. No lie. It made me think about things on a more intense level and I enjoyed it. The only reason why I stopped smoking is because it became old to me. I got tired of it. I know I have will power so it was easy for me to just give it up. I don’t know how it has been for other people but from the people that I talked to about it, they believe in everything that I have spoken about.
If the reason why the government of America has decided against legalizing marijuana, is fear of having a future of weed heads running this country, they should look at it this way. I’d rather a future of weed heads around me any day than not having a nation at all. The way tobacco is picking off smokers and the way that children the age of 12 and up are picking up smoking cancer sticks because a friend of theirs told them it looks cool is scary.
Me being a parent I pray my son never ever does drugs. I pray that he never ever puts a cigarette to his lips. I pray he never knows anyone that dies because of any type of cancer caused by tobacco. I would be heart broken if any of this ever came into play. If he were to go against my wishes and decide to do a drug, I would pray that it’s only marijuana. What I know about it, it seems to do more healing than hurt. Yes marijuana do slow your reaction and yes it does cause negative effects on your long term memory, I know this im living proof of it, but i have never ever meet, heard or seen anyone overdose on marijuana.
If you were to speak to some doctors they would actually tell you that they have prescribed prescription marijuana for many of their patients suffering from some type of ailment. Some people say that doctors don’t know everything, which happens to be true, but if they have some type of knowledge as to this mystifying herb and the good that it has in store, than I think that the government should listen a lot harder to these doctors and to some of their patients that have been helped along the way by this miraculous herb.
