I know that my attempt to criticize the Holy Bible here is very pretentious and dangerous. Yet, my aim remains merely academic and not anti-Christian. I believe that the Holy Bible is a great book, inspired by God, and later molested by the fathers of Christianity to fit their ideologies. That is why this paper will prove the inconsistency in the Holy Bible.

The history of the Bible is passionate, interesting and inspiring. At the same time, it raises a lot of questions. The Bible is divided into two books, the old and new testament. The principal personality is Jesus the Christ. The teachings of the Christ were recorded by his apostles and listed without awareness in the New Testament. Jesus has a hundred and twenty disciples and twelve apostles; the leader of the apostles is known as Peter or “Pierre in French” of which I wear the name. I am a Christian born and raised in the Christian faith. Therefore, my intent here is not to discredit the Holy Bible and the Christian church. I just want to share my inquiry with other students; maybe together we can take away the many doubts that hold me back from practicing my faith freely.

My first observation of the Holy Bible is the true nature of Jesus the Christ. Many of the apostles who lived at the time that Christ was alive have different interpretations of his nature. For example, in Mark (10:45), Jesus is a servant. He did not come to be served but to serve. Alternatively, he is seen as a King in Matthew1:1 (lineage of Jesus, from King David to Abraham). Another apostle Luke 4:4 reports the Christ as a man. Remember, in the bible when the devil asks Christ to change the stone to bread if he were the son of God? Christ responded, “Scripture has it, ‘not on bread alone shall man live.’” We can also read in John (1:1) that Jesus is God. John said: “In the beginning was the word; the word was in God presence and the word was God.” An addition verse in John (1:14) said “the word become flesh and made his dwelling among us, and we have seen his glory” In the same verse, Jesus is the only son of God the father at the same time he is God. Well let’s admit that this is confusing and not clear. Who does the Holy Bible want the Christ to be? What is that the Bible wants to make Jesus so exceptional that he presented himself? When Jesus was still preaching, Luke (18:18) states that “One of the ruling class asked him then, good teacher, what must I do to share in everlasting life?” and Jesus respond to him “why call me good?” and he add “none is good but God alone.” Here, if Jesus was God he would not held this statement. In addition the holy man is proving as that there is truth about him that need to taught and in other hand the fiction that the Bible preaches. I also believe that at this point, the Christ was referring to humankind. This meant that human beings are not perfect, therefore can not be as good as god.

For some Christians, Jesus was being humble in this verse. If the Christ taught and acted with humility, why did the fathers of Christianity boost up his ego? They focused on Jesus’ personality in the New Testament rather that his humble teachings. ? Well, reading the Bible carefully we could conclude that the apostles did not know who Jesus was. In Mark (8:27) Jesus ask them this question, “Who do people say that I am?” according to this verse in the Bible they responded, were “some John the Baptizer, others, Elijah, still others, one of the prophets.” The Bible reported that only Peter knew that Jesus was the Christ. Jesus was certainly a mystery for his apostles and an enigma for people of the generation that followed his era. However, the Holy Bible teaches that he is the only son of our mighty God and God Himself. How did this principle make its way to the Holy Bible and become religiously true?

Two people give us the answer to this question. Carlton J.H. Hayes was a late professor Emeritus of history, at Columbia University and James H. Hanscon also a professor of social studies at New York University. These two professors wrote a book called Ancient Civilizations (Prehistory to the fall of Rome). According to them, Christianity was growing in militant in Rome. The authorities moved to make it a state religion equal with others existent religions in the Roman Empire. Emperor Constantine was the architect of this social change. He issued a decree called the Edit of Milan, this Edit made Christianity an official religion in 313 A.D. While Christianity was becoming a state religion, the controversy of the Christ true nature was fierce among Christians as well as priests. For Arius, a priest of Alexandria, Christ was created by God the father; therefore he could not be equal to him. There was a theologian also from Alexandria by the name of Athanasius, which was opposed to this idea of the Christ. He said that Jesus was not created a human being but was an equal to God the father in all ways. According to the book, the emperor Constantine organized a council of theologians in the year 324 A.D. to end this controversy. At the end of the council, the idea of Athanasius was chosen and promoted as biblical truth.

Now it is clear that this fundamental teaching of the Bible arises from a governmental conspiracy that was trying to control its people. The thinker of the bible knew the power of the doctrines on people. They also knew that the doctrine could maintain people under a constant fear or a hope of a better after life. For example, in the New Testament it is said that salary of sin is death and the reward of good deeds is an eternal life in Jesus. And this could be found in Romans (6:23.) Now, I know that there were Romans occupied Palestine at the time of Jesus, I also know that these Romans were opposed to his teaching; how did these Romans recorded this verse? Or is this still a work of the Emperor Constantine? They created the concept that Jesus is the only son of God and we the people are the creation of God our father. However, if we commit good deeds, we will be admitted to our father and his only son’s house which is the paradise. The bible also states that He sent us his only son to die for our sins. II Corinthians (5:21) “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness’ of God in him” What a great strategy to prevent people to arise against a ruling class that was corrupted and less agreeable to the people? In the Old Testament, Israel is the first born of God. Therefore God sends Moses to pharaoh to tell him Exodus (4:22) “So you shall say to pharaoh: Thus says the Lord: Israel is my son, my first-born.” If Israel is the first born, Jesus is certainly not the only one. After this analysis, can we still support the consistency and truthness of the bible?

I believe the Bible should be presented the way the Christ offered his message. The message of Christ was compassionate, honest, hopeful and subjective. Jesus did not send fear into his audience heart, he said come to me those who are exhausted and I will provide for you a shelter. He also preached a message of salvation and the way that will lead to the new kingdom. It is true that the bible is the official book that reported the message of Jesus, hence it seem like a irony to praise the teaching of the Christ while criticizing the Bible. However, I believe that I can criticize the way these messages were reporting in the Bible.

Many people did some researches about the Christ life and his message. The most prominent among all research is the one lead by Dr Harvey Spencer Lewis. Dr was the president of New York institute of psychological research. Dr Harvey Spencer exposed the result of his research in two books, call the mystical life of Jesus and the secret doctrine of Jesus. In these two books, Harvey point out how the father of Christianity transformed the true teaching of Jesus. Even a close analysis of the Christ teachings differentiated itself from the fiction that was added to the Bible. It is also clear that the Christ never considered himself as the only son of God the father and neither had he mentioned the existence of the heaven as it is described in the Holy Bible. When people were asking him to talk about the kingdom of god or the paradise, he said why are you looking for the kingdom of god where it is not? (Meaning in heaven like the Bible wants us to believe) in the contrary he remained us that the kingdom of god his deep inside our self we just need to look for it with honesty and it will be accessible to us and once he become accessible we become aware of the truth and happiness . The accessibility of the new kingdom could be the stage of “enlightenment” that the Buddha describes as the ultimate truth in which people are free from the cycle of rebirth. Buddha also said that “Happiness is he who has overcome his ego… who has attained peace… who has found the truth.” We can compare this statement of Buddha with what Jesus had said to Nicodemus about the rebirth and the new kingdom. John 3:7 He said “The wind blow where it will. You hear the sound it makes but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone begotten of the spirit.” Again this is so clear that Jesus understood that a human being has to be free from all artificial doctrine and take the path that leads to this stage of mind in which human beings become one with the all mighty God and free from death and rebirth and go on for ever like the wind.

Another manifestation of the manipulation of the truth by architects of the Bible is showing in the book of Psalm 93, referred to God, the verse said “Thou hast fixed the earth immovable and firm” clearly this verse tell as that God has created the earth and that it does not move. Well I learned that the earth is moving around the sun and that the earth is not the center of the universe. When I was doing my research for this paper, I found that the authorities of the Catholic Church introduced this thought barrowed from Ptolemy. Ptolemy was a mathematician and astronomer from Alexandria in the 2nd century A.D. He said that the earth was a sphere hanging unsporting in space. He also believed that the earth was the center of the universe, and the planet and stars moving around it in circle. History also taught us that people who tried to prove this theory wrong was killed like Galileo.

Again, I am not an anti- Christian. I also believe that Jesus is a son of god but I do not think that he was the only one. Lots of ancient literature reported that many other people were from a virgin mother. Among these people, two are very famous. Krishna, mother was Devaki, a virgin and Buddha born from virgin Maya. I think the Holy Bible should not focus on some irrelevant aspects of the Christ life when recording his message. On the contrary, the Bible needed to teach people how to assess to the inner peace, the compassion and the happiness of the soul and the truth that were taught by the Christ. People need to learn that the kingdom of God is within them as Jesus said it.

On thing I like about the Holy Bible is that all over the world, it has succeed to bring all humankind together in the name of Jesus their brother the only son of God their father. It also allowed people to keep a boundary to their actions in order to enter to the paradise like the Bible promises. I would like to conclude by inviting you to think about this verse John (20:9) “Remember, as yet they did not understand the scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead”, and the resurrection that preached that Jesus resurrected from death. Can this statement mean the same thing? The (19:33) of the author gives as precise information that could lead to believe that Christ did not die after he was crucified and why he should not died. Let me just give you a brief synopsis of this verse. It said that the two people that were crucified at Jesus’ side had their legs broken but when the soldier came to Jesus to saw he was already dead, therefore they did not break his legs. According to Dr Harvey, the original version of the story is that the soldier assumed that Jesus was still alive so to verify their assumption, one of the soldiers thrust a lance into his side, and immediately blood and water flowed from his body. We all know that blood does not circulated from a dead body neither water, then how can blood came from Jesus body if he was died? The father of the Bible knew the truth about the resurrection; they just did not want to record this information in the bible because it will not fit with the doctrine. Dr Harvey wrote his book in the year 1934. At that time he was referred to the death sea scroll. Importantly, the death sea scroll was discovered in 1945 and contained lot of revelations about Christ activities and his life. In my opinion, all the conditions are united to rewrite the bible and tell as the true nature of our savior and his teachings.
