The quiet study place from BMCC is a place reserved for students who need a place to study and do their assignments. However, this place doesn’t offer you everything that you need. Instead of a quiet study place it looks like a public place. It is very noisy, there is constant use of cell phones, and also students use it as a cafeteria. If we compare BMCC's quiet study place with other colleges we will see that this is not a safe place.
The quiet study place is located in the fourth floor. When Students told me that BMCC offers a nice place where we can go to do our assignments, I was very delighted because I had found a place where I could go on my free time. It offers flexible hours for everybody. It is open from 9 am to 10 pm, and at the end of each semester it even offers extended hours, from 9 am to midnight. That is marvelous for those students who work during the day and need a place to study at night. It furnishes the opportunity to get together with your classmate too.
Even though everything is good; there are lots of negative ways to look at the quiet study place. Students were wrong when they told me that BMCC offers a quiet study place. "Quiet" the definition is (enjoyed in peace, free from noise, calm), but this place is the opposite. Noisy students come there only to disturb other students who really need a place to study. They are talking, laughing all the time. Cell phones are buzzing loud constantly and talking on the cell phones is common. Rather than a quiet study place it looks like a public place. In addition, the quiet study place is being used as cafeteria instead of a place to study. The desks have food's stains everywhere because students bring foodstuff. When they leave the place they don't take the trash with them. Other students come to take a nap there. Nothing is wrong if you need to take a nap, but we don't need students who snore and disturb others. It takes every body's concentration away from doing their assignments.
In addition, the quiet study place from BMCC compared with other colleges is not a safe place. Couple of weeks ago, I was studying there and when I felt exhausted I went to drink some water, guess what? When I retuned my book bag was not there, it was stolen. I had spoken to other students form BMCC and they complained that this was not the first time that had happened. I was astonished. I couldn't believe that I had lost all my books, my notes, and my documents.
It is very important to find a good place to study, but it is more important to be in a safe place. If you have any doubt, I invite you to visit the quiet study place from BMCC and to go to any other quiet study place from other colleges and to compare.

Admin: I made the picture smaller for you--to make this easier to read. I think you did a good job of criticizing the quite study place--and this was an original subject which worked well for you. There are some small proofreading problems, and this would have been a bit longer and stronger if you could have described some of the other colleges you mention--in order to provide a comparison.
