My opinion about the rapper Eminem is that I love and respect his work.The reason why I feel this way about him, is because if he feels someone is wrong he does not have a problem with standing up and letting them know that. I feel that alot of people will learn from him because people need to start standing up for what they believe in. I also think that when he first came out he made it clear that he grew up with a rough life. I mean he really made me understand that it does not make a difference what color you are we all go through the same struggles and if you want to suceed in life you have to put your hurt into what you love.more here about why this is a good thing--is it unusual in the music world? why?
For example like the song "mosh" this is an good example of what I am talking about. this was the video that was shown in class, I feel in this video Eminem expressed the way he felt about the president.I'm pretty sure that he isn't the only one that feels that President Bush should not be president.This video was him speaking out loud trying to convince all people to go out and vote and make a difference. more of a detailed summary would be good hereI am a person that agrees with him on this situation I'm just not old enough to vote. My point of saying this is that this song was made for a very important reason to make a difference, not to just entertain.
On the other hand there are some bad lyrics in Eminem's songs. He has songs where he expresses his feelings about other people, by disrespecting them and calling them names. examplesHe's not scared of anyone and doesn't have sympathy for no one. In a way this can be bad because he doesn't care if he hurts someone feelings which can result in violence. Another reason why this is bad because kids look up to him and most of the time depending on what age they are, kids pick up what ever they see or hear. So what ever he say or does they will copy.
The song "Just Lose It" is a prefect example, this is a song by Eminem while in most of the video Eminem makes fun of Micheal Jackson.In this video he acts like Micheal Jackson and his hair catches on fire, his nose falls off, and he little boys jumping on his bed.This what I mean by him not caring about other people's feelings.Now Micheal Jackson is suppose to be taking him to court over that . Eminem knew that this was a big possibility, but he also knew that the video was funny to others and would sell.
In conclusion I feel that you should not have to be a certain age to listen to his music because he's a real person. All people go through their ups and downs . Life is also not fair there will be a point in life for everyone where someone will dislike you for the way you look, talk, walk , or dress it's just up to you of how you will deal with the problem.
