I think that Jay Ford is right by saying that is important to understand that you are apart of the Hip Hop era.The reason why I agree with Jay Ford is because I think that it's important to know why people dress the way they do and talk the way they talk.I mean why do you think that when you go into clothing stores they have a new style out like every month .Stores go by the lastest styles that Hip Hop artist wear. Hip Hop entertainers have a very loud voice out in society today. Whatever Hip Hop artist wear, say, or do the community picks up like a baby.People look up to Hip Hop and enjoy being a part of it.
Hip Hop is not just a form of music it's a lifestyle, a lifestyle in which many people live by.Hip Hop has a good and bad side to it because it can send out positive and negative messages. What I mean by this,is it depends on the artist and his or her personality. That's why kids at young ages should not be able to listen to certain songs because they might be able to sing the song, but not read between the lines and understand the consequences and outcomes of situations that artist rap about like robbing, fighting, drugs, etc. The good thing about Hip Hop is that the music relaxes you and let you know that it's people all around the world that go through the same problems as you so you are not alone.
This Hip Hop music has spreaded all around the world to places like Japan and Puerto Rico.To think when it first started people thought that it would not last.I know that Hip hop is a big part of my life because sometimes I talk in slang ,I like to dress in style and I love to listen to the music. The music helps me better myself because I watch videos and see what could happen to me if I choose the wrong path,it also makes me understand everyones struggle to the top.Like when you see a rapper's first video, you listen and see what they had to go through to get where they are and how much hard work paid off.
I just think the most important thing about Hip Hop is that it lets you understand that everyone is human and go through the same problems. Its also has a big effect on our community and whether you know it or not you are a part of Hip Hop because you live in the Hip Hop era.Whether you are rich or poor you can be part of Hip Hop because back when Hip Hop first started it mainly talked about having little money because back then black communtities where very poor, but now in days black people have gain alittle more respect and more wealth so now they also talk about living a rich life.So it really doesn't matter what color you are and how much money you have you still live ina Hip Hop era.
