You need to use Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher and Microsoft Word 95 or higher (Not Microsoft Works). That's it. Firefox, Safari, and Opera will work--with some limitations. Blackboard is really optimized for IE. Don't use AOL's browser. If you must connect through AOL, go ahead and connect, then minimize the AOL window and open Internet Explorer.
