How to Use the "Drop Box"
You can print this out if you like!- Click on "Tools" on the left side of your screen.
- Click on "Digital Drop Box."
- To send something to me through the Drop Box, click on "send file." Very Important: You have to click "send file". If you click "add file," it will add the file to your drop box, but not send the file to me. I will not receive the file!
- Give your file a title. Use your last name, and which Module this paper is for. For example, if your last name is "Jimmy," call the file "JimmyMod2." Of course, if your name is not "Jimmy" you should use your own name, and if this is not the module 2 paper, use the correct module number.
- Under the box for "Title" there is a box marked "File," with a "browse" button next to it.
- When you click on "browse," a "choose file" box will open up. This shows the files on your computer's drives. Usually, it open with the contents of the "c" drive showing. You can scroll around either by clicking the "up" arrow next to the drive box, or by clicking on the down triangle next at the edge of the drive box.
- However you do it, find the file you are looking to upload (your paper, which you have already saved on your computer). Click on it. You should see it in the "file name" box at the bottom.
- When you see it there, click "open" (next to it), and the file will be transferred to the drop box.
- Now you will see the file name in the file box.
- You can add "comments" at this point. Something like, "enjoy the paper" or "this is my best work yet" or "I had trouble with this one."
- Click "submit" at the bottom of the screen to send the paper to me!
- You should see a "receipt" that says "success." Then I'll get the paper!
- Make sure your file is in Microsoft Word (.doc) format. Not Microsoft Works! not WordPerfect!
- If you have the kind of trouble you think will make your paper late, email me immediately.
