Professor Clark,
My name is Adrienne Hayes, but outside of work and school people call me Kelly. I am a mother of a nine (9) year old girl whose name is Shacoya. I work and go to school full time, which could be pretty hectic at times. When I first began this class, I thought to myself, oh my goodness, how can I possibly get an "A" in this class? I said this because I had to take the English remedial class, when I first applied for College in 1996 at NYCTC. But to my surprise, I have been doing pretty well. Throughout this semester I have learned a lot, but the most important lesson that I learned comes from me writing my second paper. I did something, that was not intentional, but it could have caused me to get an "F" or possibly kicked out of the class. I did not cite the source in one of my paragraphs, but I did in the others, so that saved me.
My grades have been real important to me, because I am 26 years old and have been out of school for a little over five years. It feels good to know that I still have the ability to understand the work just as well as my classmates, some of whom are quite younger than I am and just getting out of High School.
Currently I am a Liberal Arts Student, but I plan on changing my major to Nursing. This is something that I have always wanted to be since I was a child. But I have to say getting into the Nursing program is a challenge. You have to maintain a high GPA to even be considered for the program, but I will continue to strive and do well in my classes because I know what I want.
After graduating from BMCC I plan on going to a four (4) year college so that I can earn my Bachelors and possibly my Masters Degrees.
I have chosen my Critical Paper to be graded for my final portfolio because I think it represents my best work. I have received good grades on my other papers, but this one was a different experience for me. It gave me an idea on how to criticize something or someone in both a negative and positive way. My paper is about T-Mobile and how bad their service and phones are. I also chose this paper because I think that you will find it quite interesting. When reading my paper, you will see the different type of phones that I've had.

Kun Lin:Hi, Adrienne. This is a nice brief introdution that tells me about your major and goal. Are you a freshman in BMCC? It's smart to be a Liberal Arts student if you're still making decision about your major. Maybe you can talk to your counselor for some suggestions, and I hope it will help you a bit. By the way, happy birthday to you! Hope it won't be too late.
AND MANY MORE..........................
THANK YOU, THANK YOU. NO APPLAUSE NESSECERY.
